The Last Ring

Oh no! Sonic just lost his last ring! How's he gonna make it to the end of Dr. Eggman's deadly base now?

I noticed I always draw happy hedgehogs and wanted to try something else, a totally different, but strong expression. Since I had just typed this oneshot here down ([link]), I decided to try make a painting on it. Added Metal Sonic's glowing eyes because they look cool and evil. And because Metal Sonic is awesome.

Still, I felt so much like an ass for drawing this... Especially when I added the bleeding cuts and the bruise on Sonic's arm. My sister already went 'aww' when she saw just the sketch, and I myself... well, the more the coloring of Sonic progressed, the more I felt like... poor thing looks like he needs a hug, doesn't he? I promise I'll draw something more pleasant for you to be on next time, Sonic.

Okay, my bad feelings for poor blue hedgehogs aside I'm rather satisfied with this picture. I'm really glad it turned out somewhat okay, 'cause when I started I totally hated the perspective... and at some point during the work I became convinced the feeling was mutual. But I guess it worked itself out in the end.

Worked my ass off with this, but helpful critique is welcome.
